Vanuatu sand turtle

Traditional storytellers in the Pacific (an endangered occupation) tell stories that they illustrated by drawing complex patterns in the sand with a finger, never repeating a line, always ending where they started—an extraordinary art form that is destined to live no longer than a few hours.
