Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

Welcome to Sol Creative Foundry.

These Terms & Conditions set out how our website, bookings, studio spaces and events operate. By using this website or booking with us, you agree to the terms below.

1. Who We Are

Sol Creative Foundry is a creative, cultural and wellbeing space based in Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Operated by: Sol Creative Foundry Ltd
Registered in England & Wales
Company Number: 16886378
Email: sneh@solcreativefoundry.com

2. Using Our Website

All content on this website, including text, branding, layout and images, belongs to Sol Creative Foundry unless otherwise credited.

You may not reproduce, copy or distribute any content without written permission.

We aim to ensure information is accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all content will always be complete or error-free.

3. Bookings (Workshops, Events & Space Hire)

Booking Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive confirmation.

Pricing

All prices are shown in GBP (£).
Where applicable, VAT is included or clearly stated.

Cancellation by You

Workshops and events take place on a specific date. Because of this, the 14-day cancellation right that normally applies to online purchases does not apply, as set out in regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for leisure activities supplied on a particular date. Our own terms below apply instead.

Cancellations made 14 days or more before the session are refunded in full.

Cancellations made between 14 and 7 days before are offered a place on a future session of the same workshop, or a credit note valid for 12 months.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before are non-refundable, as materials will usually have been purchased and the place cannot reasonably be resold.

You are welcome to transfer your place to someone else at any point. Please let us know their name in advance.

Where a workshop is led by an independent host, refunds are administered by us on the host's behalf.

In addition:

• Cancellations made 7 days or more before an event may receive a refund or transfer (minus payment processing fees).
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are non-refundable.
• You may transfer your place to another person with prior notice.

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events due to:

• Low bookings
• Illness
• Unforeseen circumstances

If this happens, you will be offered:

• A full refund
• Or transfer to a new date

We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs.

4. Studio Rental

Studio rentals are governed by separate written studio agreements.

Studios:

• May not be sublet
• Must not be used for unlawful purposes
• Require members to hold appropriate insurance for their professional activities

Rent must be paid in accordance with your studio agreement.

5. Workshops Run by External Facilitators

Many workshops at The Foundry are led by independent artists and makers. Where this is the case, the workshop is supplied by the host, not by Sol Creative Foundry Ltd. Sol Creative Foundry Ltd sells tickets as agent for and on behalf of the host, collects payment on their behalf, and retains a booking fee from the ticket price as consideration for its own services. Your contract for the workshop itself is with the host, who is named on the event listing and on your ticket.

Hosts are responsible for the content, delivery and safe conduct of their sessions, and are required to hold their own public liability insurance. Where children are involved, safeguarding requirements apply and are set out in section 11.

Questions about a workshop's content, materials or technique should be directed to the host, and we will pass them on. Questions about your booking, access, parking or the building come to us at sneh@solcreativefoundry.com.

Where a workshop is led by The Foundry directly, we are the supplier and these terms apply to us in that capacity.

6. Health & Safety

All visitors agree to:

• Follow reasonable safety instructions
• Behave respectfully toward others
• Take responsibility for their personal belongings

We are not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.

7. Photography & Media

We may photograph or film events for documentation and promotional purposes.

If you prefer not to appear in photography, please inform a member of staff on arrival.

8. Accessibility

We are committed to being inclusive and welcoming.
If you have specific access requirements, please contact us before attending so we can support you appropriately.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law

Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant booking or service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on this website.

11. Children's workshops

Each children's session lists the age range it is designed for. Please book your child into the appropriate session, as materials and pacing are chosen for that age group. For children aged 8 and under, a parent or carer stays for the session. For ages 9 and over, you are welcome to leave, but we need a contact number and someone reachable within 15 minutes of The Foundry. Please collect your child promptly. Sessions are led by practitioners working under the supervision of a DBS-checked member of The Foundry team, who is present throughout. Where a session is led by a visiting artist, they are accompanied throughout by a member of The Foundry team. Adults present are never left alone with a child who is not their own. Please tell us about any allergies, medical conditions or access needs when you book. We use a range of art materials, and if your child has a latex, nut or specific chemical sensitivity we will check the products in use before the session.

We photograph sessions for our website and social media. You can opt out when booking and we will make sure your child is not included. Photographs are never captioned with a child's name.

If a child is persistently disruptive or unsafe we may ask a parent to collect them. We would always speak to you first.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
