About The Event

THE WORKSHOP

Iris Folding: Seasonal Card Making by Laura Kirby Crafts

Hosted at Sol Creative Foundry

The Workshop

A seasonal card-making workshop using iris folding — a paper technique, named after the iris of a camera, that builds a swirling, layered pattern from folded strips of paper. Iris folding sounds technical and looks intricate, but it comes together through a simple, repeating fold — strip by strip, layer by layer — until a spiral pattern emerges behind a cut-out shape. Laura will take you through the technique start to finish, from choosing your papers to the final card.
